of Magic, Healing & Rebirth
She was known as the Goddess of 10,000 names. She tricked The Most Powerful Egyptian God Ra, The God Who Held The Power of Life, Death and Rebirth; and took His Throne. She mourned the loss of Her Brother/Husband Osiris so much, that She hunted for His body, found Him twice, and magically resurrected Him to conceive Their Divine Love Child Horus. She was Devoted Wife, Eternal Mother, Queen of all of Egypt, Healer of the Sick, Teacher of the Mysteries, and Mistress of Magic.
...and I got to do a paper on Her last month! Talk about right up my alley! So my Friends...I bring to you, the "Short Version" for your reading/viewing pleasure.
First I will share with you my little Isis/Hathor Shrine Project that I made to go along with the paper. It is nothing too elaborate- probably because I still had my Gaia Altar & my Yemaya Shrine (those photos & post forthcoming) still taking up precious Living Room space! (And Altar building goodies.)
So I made this one in a little metal basket. This actually was a good thing, because I was able to enjoy it on my desk while I was working on the paper (for inspiration); then I moved it outdoors for a Ritual; and back into the Living Room for a while longer to enjoy; before it finally ended back up on my desk- (waiting to be ceremoniously disassembled before morphing into another arrangement!)
Which is actually 'another' good thing- because now I had the visual reminder to post it on my Blog! See? A whacked out example of 360 degree thinking. (You would hate to live in my head...it's crowded in there. LOL)
Okay...enough rambling. Lets get to the goods., er, Gods that is.
Besides the slipping around of the stones and pyramid, I think it turned out rather nice. It has been a great inspiration & meditation tool.
